Plex challenges Netflix and now lets you watch thousands of movies for free on its app

Plex took a totally unexpected turn with the launch of the completely new free broadcast service with a broad catalog of over a thousand movies and series that will be expanded over time.

Initially the service was to allow users to store their content from movies and series to enjoy them in one place. Now Plex has decided to become something completely different from its strategy, as it will now become a broadcast service like any other service like Netflix, HBO, Disney + ... etc.

Although Plex has already offered Plex Pass to access content from almost any device, users can now access for free to enjoy thousands of movies and series from various studios ranging from MGM, Warner Bros and Lionsgate.

To enjoy the service, you must have your own account, which you can create for free after downloading the application. b The company promised to add more content from movies and series along the path. The contents can be enjoyed through the Plex app on any compatible device with a maximum resolution of 1080 pixels.

As with other on-demand video streaming platforms, the new service will also provide personalized recommendations based on the content already shown, with controls to improve the level of recommendations.

If you want to try the service, you can do that by downloading the app for: Android or iOS.
